Swimming pools can provide tons of backyard hours of fun and relaxation. Many people have, (let me rephrase that) TONS of above ground style pools. You don’t have to have an inground pool to enjoy the benefits. And like there siblings,the inground, you have to cover them up in the winter or off season. Why are winter covers for pools called safety pool covers, and what are “mesh safety pool covers“? Well to me the mesh part seems easy enough… a cover made of mesh type material. But what does the safety part of the phrase mean? Lets see what different kinds of pool covers there are first.

Pool Closing Time
Well its time once again to think about closing your pool. It has been a good swim season for a lot of us, with hot weather and not too much rain. I don’t have a pool heater, so we close our pool shortly after Labor Day. When do you close your pool, and do you do it yourself?
