It’s really nice out in NJ today, and I am a huge car fanatic, and our local race track, (Raceway Park) has their semi-annual swap meet and car show. I like going on the first day, because it isn’t to crowded and parking is much easier.. Anywho, lets get to business and talk about wooden outdoor furniture.

Earlier this year, we purchased some outdoor aluminum furniture for our outside room. It is very nice as it is painted flat and looks like the wrought iron stuff. It has cushions so it is very comfortable to sit in. Soooo comfortable each of our outside cats have a permanent spot on each cushion and have claimed there own property. Just last week, we went to look at another set for our patio, as it has nothing there right now. We were looking at all the usual stuff, like wrought iron, aluminum, PVC and we saw some nice wooden outdoor furniture made out of wicker. I sat down on one of the chairs and it was so comfortable. So that’s what we decided to purhase and that we did.

There was also some nice bamboo wooden outdoor furniture there, and it looked really nice. In fact there they had more of the bamboo type furniture than the wicker. We sat in that, but for us the wicker was just more comfortable. Personal choice I guess. I don’t know if wicker is on its way out, but we just loved the set we purchased. We also saw some Tiki tables, bar and chairs that was cool looking if you have that motif or want to place something different out on your patio or porch, but we (my wife and I) tend to be a little more conservative than that.

Well what ever type of wooden outdoor furniture you may favor, there are certainly enough choices when it comes to styles. It’s almost like walking down the cereal isle of your local supermarket. I use that reference alot.. So, enjoy the rest of your outdoor leisure time. After we eat dinner we like to sit outside and wind down. I think each of us needs to take moments out of our daily grind to pause and relax for a bit. I have not done enough of that in the past, but I have changed that habit and am doing so now.

I guess you could consider us outside people as we always try to enjoy as man spring, summer and fall days as much as we can. You can blame my parents for that, thank you very much.. It seems like in recent years everyone are expanding their usable living to the outside. We have a opened up our former sun room so it exposed to the outdoors. So we can open up the doors and effectively bring the indoors out. It is a great way to really brighten up your areas. Many people place their patio furniture dining sets out in the a room like this. It’s a paint covered aluminum frame with a glass top. We didn’t want the bother of having to remove the cushions every time it rained, so we went with mesh type chairs. They have proven to be great as they have held up very well and have not rotted or mold has never grown on them. We have this place on our patio where it is exposed to all the outside elements. The only thing that we have had to replace was the umbrella, because the fabric got week from all the exposure to the outside and it tore from rotting.

The are so many choices when it comes to all the patio furniture dining sets. Other choices can be wicker, wrought iron, wicker, bamboo, aluminum (of course) and for the complete maintenance free person in mind PVC.
