Many people do not even bother with covering up their outdoor furniture. Lots of times they will just stack all the pieces up outside at one corner of the patio, or will cover each individually. When I finally get around to closing everything up, I take all my outdoor furniture and store it in the shed. but I leave the heaters out and cover them up with patio heater covers. Call me weird again.

Patio heater covers come in different types of material. Your less expensive covers will be made out of polyethylene  and/or synthetic fibers. Many of the newer covers are covered latex and plastic to give them extra strength. The older style of covers were made out of canvas. You can still find the covers that are made out of canvas, but they are few and far between. Actually some of the more expensive covers are made out of canvas or a similar natural fiber water resistant material.

While we are mostly talking about patio heater covers, there are many other uses and a huge amount of different sizes. They range in size from hauling items in your pick-up truck to covers that can cover a large part of a baseball field. They can be used as an extra layer of protection around the top of your camping tent to keep the rain out, to  underneath on the ground to keep you drier inside. We actually use a 4′ x 8′ cover to rake leaves on it and drag them into the woods. As you can imagine the uses can be endless.

Patio heater covers are only a small portion of the different variety of covers you can have and use. I am sure you can think of many more uses that just the few I have mentioned here.
