My wife and I have been looking into various types of Swimming Pools. What are your recommendations; above or in gound? Most seem to think an above ground pool is easier and cheaper. Some DIY forum claimed installing an in-ground pool was relatively easy and affordable? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Cole
Hi Cole,
Above ground pools are much easier from a DIY standpoint. The most tricky part IMO with regards to installing inground pools is getting the excavation dimensions spot on. Once that is level and square, the rest of it is relatively straight forward.
I originally came from an automotive background, so this is something I would think about tackling. The only piece I would outsource is the machine and operator for the dig.
