What to Look For in Stainless Steel Patio Heaters
Hi folks.. happy August… I cant believe that it is already the 8th month of the year. It has gone by so fast, which seems like an ongoing thing each year.. We got some swim time in, but not as much as we would have liked. The weather for the first month or so was rainy, so we did the best we could.. Now I am thinking about how to enjoy the cooler days and evenings on my patio, so I have stainless steel patio heaters on the brain…
There are many types of heaters other than stainless steel patio heaters. Basically there are 3 types of outdoor heaters, they are electric, fueled and wood. The most popular outdoor electric heaters these days are of the infrared type. Reason being is that these tend to me more efficient than the old filament type. They come in a variety of models and styles from floor standing units, to wall and even hanging units. Most of them are above 90% efficient and are extremely convenient because many of them run off of regular household current and require no re-filling.
Fueled heaters come in a variety of styles also including many sizes of stainless steel patio heaters. They come in wall mount, hanging and floor standing units. Either Natural Gas, LP or propane, these tend to cost less to run than their electric siblings. They are extremely portable so if your patio is in the yard a distance away from your house, these types of patio heaters are great.
Outdoor wood heaters are a great way to heat your patio area as they are easy to set up, are relatively inexpensive and you get the added benefit of burning wood smell. They are often referred to as “fire pits” and come in styles ranging from, wrought iron, stone and of course our favorite stainless steel patio heaters design. I need to mention that outdoor fireplaces also fit in the wood heater category and offer similar traits and comforts of a fire pit.
In an article from BackYardPatios.info they have a great outlook and say:
“Just because we are seeing lower than normal temperatures this year isn’t a reason to not enjoy your patio!
Outdoor patio heaters have progressed from archaic open flame devices (which sometimes resembled rocket ships or missiles) to stylish pieces of patio furniture. They add decor and provide warmth and even light when needed.
There are many types of patio heaters the main ones are gas, electric and wood. While the actual setup can vary, most homeowners prefer the floor standing models. Another great idea for staying warm  is the Umbrella Infrared Patio Heater. This model mounts cleanly under your existing patio table umbrella and provides radiant heat to those sitting near.”
Finishes vary as well. Â Many people choose the clean looking stainless steel finish. Its easy to clean and can weather the elements for years.
And Patio heaters can be used during the winter months too…not a bad idea when running between the hot tub and the house on cold nights!”
Please enjoy the rest of the summer, and when it gets cooler out enjoy your patio and outside yard with a stainless steel patio heaters or one of the many other types and styles that are available.
