Everyone likes swimming but surely only riches can afford to build one in their own homes. It is because swimming pools construction needs lots of expenses that are not easy to afford for every person.

Even if you love swimming but thinking of building one in your own dwelling is just like a dream coming true…

however, still you can enjoy the same enjoyment and fun with swimming with some ways that are very affordable and even a usual person can think of this manner without much thoughts at all… yeah, this is because of the famous Spa pools that have become quite well known over some past years…

What are Spa pools?

Before you plan to have a Spa pool in your own residence it is important to first determine what these Spa pools are and what kinds of benefits you can get from them… in fact, these pools are like tubes thus are also known as hot tubes.

Having these pools in your own home is just possible because of cheap expenses that are needed to fulfill your swimming desire in your own residence. These are flexible hot tubes that don’t require huge area for their construction and usage.

In case of actual swimming pools, huge region is required for their construction according to required manners. At the same time, it requires a lot of effort and man power for constructing these pools so it will need a lot of money as well.

So, it is not possible for a common person to think of such original pools. In case of Spa pools, everything is under control from usage to enjoying the real like swimming experience.

The most appealing fact is that these pools are not too expensive so people can buy them without facing any issue. These hot tubes can be in different sizes so you can choose the one that is apt for you and of course for your home. There are small Spa pools as well as large sized hot tubes are also available on reasonable prices.

These pools are filled with hot water that is useful in a number of ways. The basic purpose of this hot water is to offer you the feeling of a real swimming pool while spending cheap prices.

At the same time, hot water helps in healing and massages treatments that are no doubt very much practical for huge people.

So, these pools are beneficial in distinct manners i.e. one can use it as an original swimming pool while paying few money as well as one can also get treatments and healing from them so spa pools are definitely better than usual swimming pools that are just pools and nothing more…

Question by Keith: Above Ground Pool Cover for Intex Pool?
Help! I am trying to find a pool cover or solar cover for a 12′ x 24′ x 52″ above ground intex ultra frame swimming pool.

I want a cover that is on a reel because my pool sits mostly under a tree and I get constant bird mess and debris in the pool so I’d like something easy to put on and take off. Because of the design of the pool most of the above ground pool reels won’t mount on my pool sides and I dont think the frame could take the weight. I need something that sits on the ground but hold the reel up above the pool if that is possible.

Here is a link to my pool:

Best answer:

Answer by cyanne2ak
once a month in most areas. Part of this depends on WHERE YOU LIVE (climate affects this!). If you are unsure, just call a hardware store and ask.

Answer by Chris G
Get a pool check kit. The amount varies. Go to a pool store or even WalMart or the local chain store. Check by pool supplies

Answer by Lisa S
Once a week is usually enough; however, you need to reshock more often if

1. Your area has extremely high temperatures
2. There have been a lot of people in your pool
3. There has been a heavy rainstorm.

Answer by City slicker
you should invest in the chlorine strip test kit, it tells you by color matching what is needed. then you will need to do some quick calculations to get the right dosage. don’t shock it before your having house guests though, it could make it very ugly for the eyes of your guests and you.

Answer by joseph k
follow directions on the box . do you have a test kit or test strips for the water. follow the instructions water will go green pretty quick if you dont

Best answer:

Answer by Cory
You need to add a ‘sanitizer stabilizer’. The active ingredient is cyanuric acid. I’m not a chemist but the best I can describe it is like sunscreen for your chlorine. Chlorine will quickly evaporate in the sun and this will stop it. You can pick this up an most places that sell pool supplies. The good part is you only need to add it when you fill the pool and maybe a small amount as water is lost and replaced from splash out.

Your chlorine demand should drop dramatically.

It takes a couple days for this stuff to disintegrate

I hope that helps.

What is a Spa?

Spa is a term associated with water treatment that is given to people for relaxation purpose or to cure any kind of health problem they might be facing. In prehistoric times, this therapy was given to people with a view that the mineral water used in Spa has curative properties. Now-a-days, there are numerous Spa resorts and Spa parlors that offer their customers various types of Spa treatments beneficial for their health. Although, it can be an expensive procedure for some, the after effects of a Spa might change their mind to spend some more on it.

Spa Chemicals for a Healthy Spa Experience

What are Spa Chemicals?

Chemicals which are used for cleansing and maintenance of a Spa are known as Spa chemicals.

These are primarily used to sanitize water to provide a rejuvenating and a sparkling effect while taking a Spa. Amongst many, the ones used commonly are Biguanide-based spa sanitizers, Spa sanitizer for ozone-equipped spas, All-purpose cleaners, Fast-acting clarifiers, Natural enzyme cleaners, and Metal remover chemicals, etc.

The above mentioned Spa chemicals are differentiated on the basis of their cleansing and sanitizing properties. If some offer a long lasting sanitizing effect, then there are others that are used for cleaning them after they are drained. The Biguanide-based spa sanitizer however, is used because it is a better option than chlorine or bromine sanitizers. Amongst all these, Fast acting clarifiers are used in the hot water tubs. The function of this category of Spa chemicals is to remove dirt, oil and other harmful organics that gets accumulated in the hot water tub.

One should use Spa chemicals for bacteria free and a relaxing Spa experience. One can also go for bio-degradable Spa chemicals that are environment friendly and makes the cleaning process of a Spa much easy.

Swimming Pool Chemicals

Having a swimming in house premises or a hotel can be easy, but maintaining it is a much more difficult task. However, if a swimming pool is not cleaned timely, it can be a home for algae and bacteria. Therefore, it is very important to keep it clean and shining. How can this be done? Confused? Don’t be. Use swimming pool chemicals that can help one get rid of this problem.

Pool filters might clean the water, but sanitizing it completely is vital. Periodical use of swimming pool chemicals like chlorine can prevent eye irritation and safeguard other parts of a swimming pool. Some of the important points that should be taken care of while sanitizing a swimming pool are addition of chlorine, checking the calcium hardness of water, adding clarifiers, maintaining the Ph balance and alkalinity of the swimming pool water, etc.

Swimming pools are the reservoirs of water that are used for the bathing, swimming and recreational purposes. They are of different types, shapes and sizes and are present at both the public and private sectors. They are constructed in different ways with different material. The idea of developing a swimming pool is not new rather the first swimming pool was built in Mohenjo Daro. The initiative was well liked by the Greeks who continued their form of construction. Further improvement was made the Europeans and the development has continued to date.
The swimming pools may be In ground pools or above ground pool. The above ground pools are handy and can be fixed at any location without much expertise and can be disassembled easily when needed. The In ground pools need proper place and construction but are durable and beautiful. Small play pools can be developed in houses that are shallow and are used by children.

Many other constructions of the pools are available that include spools, and lap pools. Different varieties suit different people.
The various materials that is used in constructing a swimming pool are gunite, concrete and fiber optic. The above ground pools may even be made of the plastic or other unusual material. Private pools are of smaller size and lined by tiles to make them easy to clean. Above ground pools are usually preferred at home because of your handiness. Pools built from the inexpensive material like the poly vinyl chloride pipes are also available in the market.
Many people add accessories to their pools to give them more comfort and relaxation. These include pool furniture, bars and toys. These accessories are blown with the air to hold the weight and yet stay light so that they don’t settle to the bottom. People set volley ball and basketball nets in their pools to play games and enjoy their summers. Many games are played in the water which include diving, hockey, volleyball and basketball. People all over the world enjoy and play these games.
Although the swimming pools are considered as recreational places, hot water swim baths have been used by many therapists all over the world. Hot water pools are important for relaxation and are used by massage centers and various other therapists. Hot water baths are considered as the good remedy for the pain and used as an effective way of pain relief by doctors in many parts of the world. Even the laboring women are advised to take under water bath to relieve their pain and anxiety. In the recent years the trend of giving birth to children under water has risen. Hot water baths are also recommended for people who have undergone a bowel operation. They increase the blood flow to the injured region causing good healing.
Keeping a swimming pool clean is the most important part of owning it. You need to check the quality of water and the its biological oxygen demand regularly. Also it is important to add disinfectants like chlorine and other chemicals to ward off bacteria and other living forms.

On a hot, sunny day there is nothing like stepping out the back door and lounging around the swimming pool with a cold drink. Florida has over a million swimming pools, most of them belonging to private residences. But with the benefits and pleasures of a swimming pool come the dangers and risks which are inevitably attached.

Infant and Toddler Deaths

Every year hundreds of children under the age of 5 drown in swimming pools due to the lack of supervision and safety measures which could have saved them. Most of these deaths happen in private pools while parents are nearby. Most of the parents who lose their children to swimming pool accidents are not neglectful or abusive parents, but were simply distracted by something as simple as a phone call or a doorbell.

Pool Injuries

Not every swimming pool accident results in death. Many of them can lead to injuries, such as head injuries from slipping and falling, or from diving into too-shallow water. Often, swimming pool safety comes down to simply being careful and following pool protocols. Even for individuals who are following swimming pool rules, however, the danger of an improperly cared for pool or obstructions in pathways can lead to injuries. If you or a loved one has been injured at a public swimming pool, you may need to be able to give evidence that you were not acting irresponsibly or against posted rules at the time of your injury.

Pool Rules

If you are swimming at a public pool, you should carefully read the posted swimming pool rules and be careful to follow them all. If no diving signs are posted near shallow water, diving into the pool may not only have you banned from the pool, but could cause injury or death. Although many people treat pool rules as suggestions, they are admissible evidence in court cases. If you are swimming in a private pool, you should follow commonly posted pool rules, even though you are at a private residence. These include:

No running
Don’t swim alone
Keep pool ladders and stairs, diving boards and walkways clear of obstructions
Never leave children unsupervised
Have your younger children wear floatation devices

I went to Specialty Pool Products website to order new steps. I searched for “Pool Steps”, and they had some listed for .99. I clicked on the ad, and there was a full description of the steps and reviews that talked about them. When I called to order them, the salesperson said that it was a mistake, and they wouldn’t sell them to me. I emailed the company and the guy said “sorry you were confused”. That irritated me a little…..Now when people put their company name in on Youtube, they will see this video. I think they should honor their advertised price. What do you think?
