Top of the line above ground swimming pool ladders are basically molded steps that allow a more sure footed entry and exit. These types are made of molded resin and many have lockable gates to discourage unwanted swim times. These are a great choice for children or elderly people that need a more sure footed entrance and exit. This it the type I would recommend as they generally are the safest to use.
