It is pumped up through, cascades down and recirculates over and over again. The other type houses a basin that you put in the ground directly below. Water is pumped up the same way as the other type. The advantage of the underground basin type is that it looks like it is more integrated into your yard. Dis-advantages would be it take up more room, installation takes longer, and if you want to change your backyard design, it isn’t as easy as the other type.

1. Resin are generally the least expensive and the most lightweight of the bunch and are the most portable

2. Jar type waterfalls are usually made of stone or pottery, and are the next step up in size and price

3. Stone waterfalls are designed to look like large stones or can be designed with integrate details. The mobility of these types are less than the previous two because of their size and weight.

4. The cream-of-the-crop are made out of decorative brass. These are sculpted and can be very ornate in design. These are beautiful and are a work of art in their own right.
